Game Projects

During my time at The Game Assembly we have so far made 7 games. During the first year we made 2D games and during the second year we make 3D games. All 3D games are made in our own engine that the programmers in my group have made.

All games are made at 50/50 split between individual assignments and game projects.

Aphelion is a first-person shooter game where you are the key subject of an experiment to further understand the alien creature that can mimic items in the world.

Main contributions:

  • Arms
    - I modeled and textured the arms for the game
  • Enemies
    - I modeled and textured the enemy
  • Dressing
    - I took
  • Environment art
    -I took part of the environment art and made multiple assets and textures that was used for the dressing.
  • Creation of props
    - To make a more living world I created models and textured multiple props that could be placed all over the levels.

Spite Ohtili´s Ascension is an ARPG. Ohtili the Cheiftain of the ancient Moon Clan must take her revenge after the evil shaman’s betrayal. Fight your way through the temple and with help of your new skills you can finaly take down the enemy of the land

Main contributions:

  • Characters
    - I made the hi-poly characters in the game and textured the player
  • Dressing
    - In this project, I dressed the majority of the game
  • Environment art
    -I took part of the environment art and made multiple assets and textures that was used for the dressing.
  • Creation of props
    - To make a more living world I created models and textured multiple props that could be placed all over the levels.

Swarm is 3D SHMUP taking place in a robo-insects infested world and you have to take out the hive to save the day.

Main contributions:

  • Characters
    - I made the hi-poly characters in the game and textured the player and enemies.
  • Pipeline
    - As this is the first 3D game we made with an engine in the making from scratch I took the major part to get a pipeline up and running for the artists
  • Dressing
    - I took a major part of the dressing prosses
  • Environment art
    -I took part of the environment art and made multiple assets and textures that was used for the dressing.
  • Creation of props
    - To make a more living world I created models and textured multiple props that could be placed all over the levels.

A Weapon Odyssey is a 2D top down action adventure game. Explore the alien world after a devastating crash and fight your way through to rescue your husbands terrible curse.

Main contributions:

  • Player and Bosses.
    - I made the models and textures of the player and three bosses that was later shipped over for animation
  • Pipeline
    - I took the responsibility to have a good rendering and export setup for the 3D to 2D process and I made all the animation sprites that was later used in the game.
  • Props creation
    - I made several props such as weapons and pickup items
  •  Environment tiles        
    - I took part of the environment tiles creation we used to build the world with

Blight is a 2D LIMBO like platformer. Escape from the infested villagers and solve the puzzles in time to make it out alive.

Main contributions:

  • Player
    - I made the model and animations for the player  
  • Props creation
    - I made several props such as weapons and pickup items
  • Environment tiles        
    - I took part of the environment tiles creation we used to build the world with.
  • Dressing
    - I took a part of the dressing process of the project

Perkele Saatana is a top down SHMUP that takes place in compromised Finland and you must fight through the Soviet forces to show them that you don’t mess with the Finnish aero fighter.

Main contributions:

  • Export Pipeline
    - I made sure the artists exported all sprites right and had a close collaboration with programmers to make a working pipeline for the project.       
  • Texturing pipeline
    - I set up a Arnold library that we used to texturing the entire game with.
  • Animation
    - I did majority of the animations of the game
  • Props creation
    - I made several props that was placed all over the world
  • Environment tiles        
    - I took part of the environment tiles creation we used to build the world with.

Mayday is a 2D point and click adventure game. You as the spaceship janitor wakes up from your cryopod after an unexpected collision during the journey. You are now tasked to repair the ship during this puzzle game.

Main contributions:

  • Modelling
    - I made the majority the modelling of all 3D assets that was used in the entire game.
  • Rendering
    - I took a big part of the rendering pipeline to make the 2D sprites from our 3D assets that was used in the game
  • Animation
    - I made the animations of the game
